Loren MccRory, the director of Yuba County Library in Marysville, CA, recently shared her thoughts on how she and her staff have improved communication between the library and their county tech staff. She had so many good ideas, that we decided to write a Feature on her, due to be published before the end of the month (to read other Features, look here).
In the interim, I created a short podcast about something she said to us that got me thinking about the smaller steps staff can take to play a part in the larger discussion around improving communication.
It's a struggle to determine how much technical knowledge staff should possess. Loren brings up an interesting point--what would it take for front line staff to play a larger part in helping techies solve problems?
Soon you'll be hearing more from Loren--I'm pleased to announce that she'll be our newest addition to our Guest Blogger crew!
